Acne Prone Skin - What is Acne ?
Acne is one of the biggest challenges to women of color who seek clear, glowing complexions. Though acne pimples are often associated with teenage skin, many adult women complain about unattractive whiteheads, blackheads, pimples, and large acne \cysts. Some women of color have acne most of their lives while others develop it for the first time in their twenties or thirties.
Eczema Skin Care
Once eczema flares, treating it promptly is key to not only eliminating the itch but also avoiding any further dark or light marks that might result from scratching. You have many different options for treating eczema, including both over-the-counter products and new prescription medications. Since eczema can be difficult to control and psychologically distressing, I recommend that you work closely with a dermatologist to identify the best solution or combination of solutions for your skin.
Scar Keloids Prevention
If a keloid develops in a visible area, such as on the earlobes or chest, as they often do, these scars can be particularly devastating. Because they can, in some cases, be unsightly and difficult to treat, keloids can be harmful to your self-image and have a negative impact on other aspects of your life as well. Despite these facts, there are options for women of color who are prone to developing keloids. Effective treatments are available and more are in development.
