Hyperhidrosis - Treatment and Symptoms

Hyperhidrosis is a condition in which excessive sweating in some parts of body caused by an overactivity of the sympathetic nervous system of the sweat glands. Excessive sweating of the hands, feet, and face, excessive facial blushing, or any combination of these conditions is known as hyperhidrosis . Sweating is a natural phaenomenon necessary for the regulation of an individual's body-temperature. Two of the more common locations are the palms, called palmar hyperhidrosis, and under the arms, called axillary hyperhidrosis.

What are the symptoms of Hyperhidrosis ?

Excessive sweating is the main and only symptom of Hyperhidrosis. It may be from any part of body including feet and hands, face, excessive facial blushing, or any combination of these conditions. Patients with hyperhidrosis have wet, moist hands that sometimes interfere with grasping objects.
