Angioma - Treatment and Symptoms

Angioma is a skin disorder in which benign skin tumors made up of tiny blood vessels are developed. They are found most commonly on the trunk in individuals over 40. If injured they made bleed profusely. They usually appear at or near the surface of the skin. Angiomas may appear anywhere on the body, and aren't considered dangerous, but they might also be present as the symptoms of some another serious disorder like cirrhosis. They are removed generally for cosmetic reasons.

A cherry angioma is a benign skin growth that appears as a small, smooth, cherry-red bump.( cryotherapy ) surgically for cosmetic reasons. Clump of blood or lymph vessels usually in the skin . Cavernous angiomas are clusters of abnormal blood vessels found in the brain, spinal cord, and, rarely, in other areas of the body. Symptoms of Angioma

Birthmarks - many birthmarks are actually angiomas

  • Strawberry marks - caused by capillary hemangiomas
  • Stork bites - a particularly common type of strawberry birthmark
  • Portwine stains - also called nevus flammeus
  • haemorrhages or headaches
