Natural Skin Care Face Packs

For facial skin you can use these natural face packs.

  • . Make a paste by adding wheat flour to milk and rub it well on your face. When the paste dries up, wash it off. The dirt and dust will come out along with the maida paste leaving the skin soft.
  • . Make a paste of ground mustard seeds with either milk or water. Apply this paste on face and neck and leave on for ten minutes. Wash off with cold water.
  • . Mix water and vinegar in equal quantity and apply on face with a cotton swab. On dry skin, use cold cream and massage.

For normal skin
Mix ¾ cup rosewater with ¼ cup witch-hazel and store in a jar.

For very greasy skin
Mix equal quantities of rosewater and witch-hazel and store in a jar.

For dry skin
Mix ¾ cup rosewater, ¼ cup witch-hazel and ½ teaspoon glycerin or honey and store in a jar.

Some Natural Skin Care Tips

  • avoid prolonged sun exposure that will lead to burning
  • avoid smoking and drugs
  • drink plenty of water to keep the body hydrated
  • eat a balanced and natural diet
  • get enough sleep and learn stress coping methods
  • daily skin care regimen with a cleanser, toner and moisturizer
  • When possible to have a professional facial or home facial for deep cleansing and skin rejuvenation

You can take care of your skin in these simple steps outlined below:

Steam Your Face: You must steam your face for about one to one and a half minutes. The steam causes the skin pores to open up and cleanse the makeup and other material that is deposited on the skin throughout the day.

Cleanse Your Skin: After you have applied the steam and the skin pores are open, you need to clean your face with warm water. After this, you need to take some skin cleanser on your hands and add a little water to it and then mix it together in your hands and then you will see it has converted to lather. Now apply it to the skin of your face, which is wet and massage it for about 30 seconds. Also apply that lather on the skin of your neck. Always try to use a special skin cleanser and take care of the skin around your eyes in that you do not rub it hard.

Tone Your Skin: After you have applied the lather, you need to keep it on the skin for a few minutes and after that you need to damp cotton cloth with an alcohol free toner and wipe the lather off of your skin of face and neck, as this will clear your skin and will add a glow to it.

Now Apply Moisturizer: Take a few minutes after applying the toner to your skin, and then apply moisturizer on the skin of your face and neck and arms, but remember not to apply it too much. Moisturizer will condition your skin, moisten and guard your complexion.
These are the four basic steps that you can do everyday on your skin to make it smooth and glow all day long.

Natural Skin Care Techniques

Instead of using a commercial cleanser, use a vegetable oil like olive oil or almond oil.

Aloe Vera is very good for dry skin and it has healing and soothing properties.

Calendula and comfrey soften the skin. They may be used in a facial sauna.

Cold compresses can help alleviate dry itchy skin. Add a few drops of essential oil.

Milk baths are very effective in the treatment of dry skin on the body. Add powdered milk and almond oil to a warm (not hot) bath.

Herbal teas like chamomile, dandelion, peppermint, borage, fennel, coltsfoot or calendula help improve the skin.

A good home remedy for dry skin is to make your own beauty mask. Combine an egg, honey, olive oil and rosewater. Apply onto your skin and leave it there for fifteen minutes before washing off.

Another home remedy for dry skin is to mash some avocado and apply onto your face. Mashed banana also works well.

Skin face Masks and Recipes - Basically all face masks have some sort of a cleansing action. Various ingredients are used in the masks, depending on the skin type and to some extent on the availability of materials. Clays form an important constituent of many face masks as they are excellent absorbing agents. Gums and polymers are added to lend sticking properties to the clays. They help to remove dirt, sebum, and dead skin so that the skin looks clean, soft and youthful.
